Childcare Staff
Help create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for the youngest members of our camp community! As part of the Childcare Staff, you’ll lead a small daytime program caring for multiple staff kids in a shared space on camp. Think of it as running a mini-day camp—playing games, leading simple activities, managing snacks, and nap times. All to help little ones feel loved and cared for while their parents serve around camp.
FAQs
Is there cell service or WiFi?
You’ll be “unplugged” while with campers to stay present, but we have designated staff WiFi zones for your off-time.
What do I pack?
Think Chacos, a Bible, and your favorite 5-inch inseam shorts (the best for climbing harnesses!). We’ll send you a full packing list once you’re hired.
Can I get internship credit?
Do I need prior experience?

We encourage our summer staff to work for the full season. Doing so provides the ability to gain specialized skills and experience, and fosters the great sense of community that we are known for!
Is Camp Eagle a safe place?
Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. Every staff member is trained, and all activities follow strict guidelines.

Wilderness Guide / Wilderness Leadership / Wilderness Cook
For the true adventurer. Lead backcountry backpacking trips, cook over fires, and have honest conversations in the rugged outdoors.
Activities & Ropes Staff / Activities Leadership
Master the high elements and run the show at our 3,000-foot zip line. You’ll facilitate epic moments while keeping safety and ministry front and center.
Lifeguard
Be the hero of the Nueces River. You’re the front-line guardian of the river culture, keeping things safe while bringing the energy.
Media
Capture the “glory stories” through pro-level photography and video. You’ll be in the thick of the action, creating high-energy content that defines the summer for thousands of campers.
Worship Leader
Set the tone by leading staff and campers in high-energy worship. Use your musical gifts to create a space where people can have a real encounter with Jesus.
Medical Staff
Put your training into practice by providing a calm, professional presence for campers and staff. It’s a high-impact way to serve and build your clinical confidence in a fast-paced environment.
Retail Staff
Serve in the smooth running of our camp store – The Nest. You’ll master hospitality and business operations while making sure every guest and staffer feels like family.
Office Assistant
Be the “brains” behind the scenes of camp! Help support the office team by keeping things organized, efficient, and running smoothly throughout the summer.
Maintenance / Housekeeping / Grounds
Be the backbone of camp by eliminating distractions to help make camp possible! You’ll pull back the curtain on what it takes to run a massive operation and take pride in work that actually matters.
Kitchen Staff / Kitchen Leadership
Fuel the mission behind every adventure! Prepare meals that bring people together and create authentic relationships. Serve behind the scenes knowing that your hard work plays a vital role in creating an unforgettable summer.
Junior Staff
Help make camp run! Our junior staff play a pivotal role in making sure we serve guests well with your primary responsibility being helping clean dishes from meals at camp. You’ll also get to experience what it is like to directly work with campers and give them an amazing camp experience!
