What is
twice the adventure?
Twice the Adventure is two weeks of summer fun at Camp Eagle, for Junior High or High School aged campers!
The first week camper take part in our traditional Summer Camp program. Campers will stay in cabins, do all our iconic summer activities, and participate in Bible studies. The second week is an adventure – either backpacking Camp Eagle’s backcountry or paddling the Pecos. Your camper will get to experience a totally different side of Camp Eagle while going through an exclusive curriculum that is different from any other program!
Why Twice the Adventure?
Sometimes, one week of summer camp is just not enough time to fully soak in the experience, or more importantly, whatever the Lord is teaching you.
Twice the Adventure is a chance for campers to step out and challenge themselves to embrace something new – whether it be paddling down a rapid or learning to build a fire, it’s worth the extra time to discover a new skill or deepen their understanding of God through His creation.
River’s Edge Junior High Backpacking Trip
The first week begins at Rivers Edge, where campers enjoy our classic summer programming. In week two, they venture into the back 800 acres of Camp Eagle, an area that fewer than 10% of our guests ever experience. Because the expedition takes place on our own property, our staff can provide special meals and treats without interrupting the immersive, transformative experience of being surrounded by God’s creation. Campers learn new skills, grow in confidence, and form deep connections with their group.

Eagle Quest High School River Trip
Your camper’s first week is spent at Eagle Quest, enjoying our classic summer camp experience. In the second week, they will join their group and travel to the beautiful, pristine Pecos River. Over the course of the week, campers paddle through peaceful stretches of water, explore breathtaking views accessible only by river, and develop meaningful friendships. Each day includes opportunities to dive into Scripture and learn more about our Creator while surrounded by His incredible handiwork.
