Pastors need a vacation too. Opportunities for pastors and their staff to recharge are often unavailable—or affordable. Finding time for intimacy with God is a necessity. Our adventure retreats are specially designed for pastors and their staff to take some time away so they can pay attention to their spiritual well-being, which is crucial for a healthy relationship with God.

Opportunities for pastoral staff to recharge aren't always affordable or available. Camp Eagle's Ministers Escape retreats are free, and we're an easy drive for people in the West and Southwest. This is how we serve pastors and their staff. We can't wait to welcome you and let you recharge.

Unwind

Your retreat is flexible so that you can get the most relaxation out of your trip. Feel free to participate in as much or as little of what we have planned as you like. The important thing is that you relax, unwind and spend time with God – whether alone or in a group. We just want you to be spiritually and physically refreshed.

Camp Eagle is located right in the heart of Texas, a place with so much natural beauty created by the hand of God. Scenic wonder and natural beauty abound in Texas Hill County. Just about any road to camp travels through charming towns loaded with character and down-home Texas hospitality. Places like Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Wimberly, and many more dot the map as you make your way to and from Camp. And Texas treasures like The Lost Maples, Enchanted Rock, Hamilton Pool, Pedernales Falls, or Garner State Park can be found along almost any highway.

Ministers' Escape Retreat FAQ

Registration Information

GROUP REGISTRATION: If you are coming with a group and are the group leader, please fill out the registration and be prepared to share the link with others from your church.


If you are part of a group attending Minister’s Escape, please contact your group leader for the registration link.

Lodging Information

LODGING: As the group leader, you'll have the option to reserve 1 or 2 bunk rooms for your church. How you split the rooms is up to you. Please contact Faith with any questions or concerns.

Coming as an individual? Book a hostel bed under the "SSV" drop-down menu. Email Faith if you are interested in a private room (first come, first served)


Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes! Our goal is to make camp as safe as possible, but adventure activities have inherent risks. We ask that EVERYONE attending Minister's Escape acknowledges this by reviewing and signing a waiver.

What should I bring?
  • Twin size bedding or sleeping bag 
  • Pillow
  • Towel & washcloth
  • Comfy clothes—plan for warmer days + cooler evenings & mornings
  • Swimsuit 
  • Comfy shoes—closed-toe preferred—you can hike in
  • Spending money for the camp store & coffee shop
  • Personal toiletries, medications, & first aid supplies
  • Flashlight
  • Bible, notebook, & pen
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Sunscreen & bug spray
What should I NOT bring?

How often do you get to truly live off the grid? Let's enjoy it by leaving these items at home:

  • Walkie­ Talkies
  • Knives, weapons, or anything sharp
  • Pets—not even little cute pets.
  • Alcohol or drugs
  • Your Own Harness / Helmet
  • MP3 players
  • Electronic Devices

  • Absolutely. We have a limited number of scholarships due to the generosity of donors who make it possible.
