Wilderness Camp

Choose a 24 or 48-hour solo experience designed to help you rest, reflect, and reset in the quiet beauty of our Camp Eagle backcountry. We’ll provide the essentials—gear, food, map, first aid, and radio—so you can focus on the journey itself. You’ll launch and return from Mi Casa, with designated campsites clearly marked on your map to choose from. For extra peace of mind, we’ll have water and radios stored at the windmill in case of emergency.

Base Camp at Camp Eagle is our entry-level wilderness experience. Base Camp takes the adventure a step further from the typical Camp Eagle experience allowing you and your friends to step out of your comfort zone and grow! Utilize our Eagle Quest campus as a Base Camp for meals and rest. Guests spend their days in the Camp Eagle backcountry exploring and participating in purposeful, fun activities! Ditch the phone, get outside, learn something new, and experience the Camp Eagle backcountry.

For Wilderness Camp, there is nothing more iconic than a Pecos River trip. We offer fully outfitted and guided trips down 60 miles of the Pecos River. With options to do 60, 40, or 20 miles of the Pecos River, we are sure to find your inner kayaking master! With stops along the way for cliff jumping, bouldering, and in-depth Bible studies, our Pecos River trips are our favorite way to bond groups together while building cherished memories.

Come out and build some confidence! Trail (backpacking) trips are a great way to step out a little more into the world of outdoor adventure and gain some new skills! Learn how to tie knots, set up tents, build fires, and cook on a camp stove - the basics of backpacking with a few little Camp Eagle-style surprises here and there. Sleep under the Milky Way, jump in the river, and deepen friendships as you get to traverse our 1,400 acres of diverse hill country. And the best part - get to know the God who made it all a little more as we dig into scripture together. If you’ve ever been curious about backpacking at all, now is your chance to go for it!
