Expanding the Mission

On our beautiful property in the Hill Country, at the Headwaters of the Nueces River, we hope to build a new on-site campus for 6th - 8th graders to meet our goal of providing specialized, age-based programming. Simultaneously, we'll increase our reach and create a more sustainable gospel-centered ministry, for the long-term.

Set among the trees above the Nueces River, it includes 8 cabins, a meeting space, and a new high ropes activity. It is an intentional design to ensure our Junior High campers have the opportunity to experience the Camp Eagle mission of Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships, and biblical truth.

Ultimately, this plan will provide three spaces to serve three age groups with programming that is especially designed just for them: elementary, junior high, and high school campuses.

So far we’ve raised $3,512,139 out of $5,400,000 to construct this expanded campus! We need $1,187,861 by October 8, 2025, to unlock a $700,000 Challenge Grant and complete the campaign. Help us cross the finish line!

Camp Eagle has changed my life and made me braver. Every year I go I’m challenged to step out of my comfort zone. It has also changed my relationship with God. It has made me realize all the good things he wants and does for me and that no matter how much I mess up he still wants me. I love going every year and will continue to go for the week to be closer to God and make lifelong friendships!

Camp Eagle is an extremely magical place. I knew going to camp I would be experiencing something life-changing. I'm 25 now, and I still talk about camp stories with just as much enthusiasm as I did on the car ride home from camp. From seeing wildlife I never even knew existed, hiking, to exploring caves, kayaking in the most beautiful clear water, repelling off mountains, and morning worship where I could feel God's presence run through me. I'll never forget the excitement of driving down those 8 miles to the gate every year.

I really connected with Jesus at Camp Eagle. That is where I developed my own relationship with him and decided I really wanted to chase after Him wholeheartedly. I went to Camp Eagle for camp 4 times and each time, it was life-changing. It definitely was a huge factor in what has shaped my faith.

Y’all have an amazing staff! I had a 6-year-old at Headwaters with counselors Ma and Laila and she was in tears when it was time to leave because they poured so much love into her. Very grateful for them giving their time to these kiddos.

During my week at camp God has gotten closer to me and I have felt His presence in me. He has taught me that He will stay with us always.

Words can’t explain how much I miss Camp Eagle! I got to meet so many new people that I knew I could trust and that we’re just incredibly nice people! Although I fell off many things, hiked 2 miles up a mountain to go on a zip line but then had to come back down because of the weather, and sat in an ant pile, I will never take back any of those memories! I honestly can’t believe I did some of the crazy things there but it was all worth it! This camp made me remember I don’t need social media, texting, or my phone. But it did remind me that I need God in my life for so many reasons! I was so blessed to have that experience! I can’t wait for this summer to go back!
