Going into Camp Eagle, I didn’t know where I was in my faith, but throughout the time at camp I experienced God like I never have before. He showed me true love and gave me strength that I gave back to my campers. Through Camp Eagle I made life-long friends and people who encouraged me through my walk with Christ. I can confidently say that Camp Eagle is a big part of my Story and is one of the reasons I became a Bible study leader back at Texas A&M.

I attended Camp Eagle as a camper for 6 years then ended up working for 2 summers after that. I adore the ministry Camp Eagle has in place. It was always something I looked forward to each summer. It was a place I could be myself and never felt ashamed. Camp Eagle really helped me learn how to do ministry and how to relate to people from all walks of life. Even in my current career as a Youth Minister I still look back on all of the things Camp Eagle taught me. It truly helped shape the person I am today and I couldn’t be more thankful to this ministry and these people. Camp Eagle, every camper, and every worker or counselor will forever hold a special place in my heart. It is a place I hope that one day I can take a youth group of my own to.

Camp Eagle has always been a place of community, intimacy with God, and peace for me. I worked there for three years and got to experience so many facets of God's character that I never would have gotten a chance to otherwise. That's also where I've gotten to practice boldness in my faith, like praying with a couple campers to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, baptizing a camper, and being courageous enough to encourage kids when they're scared or tired.

At the start of working for Camp Eagle as a retreat intern, I didn't know what to expect. Because of this my expectations were completely blown out of the water. Camp Eagle showed me how to be more confident in myself, how to love others in a Christ-like way, and most importantly, Eagle showed me how to have a much deeper relationship with Jesus. I should also add that the love story my wife and I share all started because of Camp Eagle.

  • We believe

    • That there is one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
    • That the Bible is God's written revelation to man, and that it is verbally inspired, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts.
    • In the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present ministry of intercession for us, and His return in power and glory.
    • In the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, that performs the miracle of new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life.
    • That man was created in the image of God, but because of sin was alienated from God. Only through faith in Christ alone for salvation, which was made possible by His death and resurrection, can that alienation be removed and eternal life secured.
